French dining at Le Rendez-vous is always a wonderful experience. It is where your taste buds are always satisfied. Craving for some Pan seared Atlantic salmon with an orange basil cream sauce (Saumon ‘Le Rendez-Vous) or maybe some Crab and vegetable stuffed shrimp with Beurre blanc (Crevettes Farcies)? You want some Roasted beet salad (Salade de Betteraves) with that too? It’s so hard to choose from this French restaurant’s extensive menu of house specialties, wine cocktails, and desserts.
The past three decades, Le Rendez-vous has been known to offer the most delectable dishes from France. Chef Jean-Claude Berger has passed on the torch to his son Gordon Berger who has not failed to continue the French dining experience popularized by his father.
Chef Gordon has continued to uphold the legacy of Le Rendez-Vous. In fact, under his management, this French restaurant has become a foodie favorite and one of the best places to eat in Tucson. It has won different awards. The recent one was winning big at Tucson Lifestyle’s 2014 Culinary Awards and the OpenTable Diner’s Choice Award earlier this year.
It’s an honor to be recognized by big communities but nothing is more heartwarming that hearing praises or reading positive reviews online. We’ve gathered recent reviews by our customers and we’d like to share them with you:
Been dining at Le Rendez Vous for years and although there were some concerns about the passing of the torch to a younger generation, the transition has gone smoothly. Old favorites are on the menu (I am especially fond of sweetbreads and love their treatment) as well as new things to try out. Be sure to reserve the duck when you make your reservation! – Sneakypedro, dined on July 23, 2014
I’ve lived in Tucson many years and spent many hours dining at various restaurants both for business and pleasure. Le Rendez-vous has always been at the top of my list. Jean Claude’s son has done an outstanding job of continuing the fine dining experience established years ago by his father. – oldtimer, dined on July 18, 2014
We had a group of eight for an annual event. Every one of us enjoyed the ambiance, the food and the service. Definitely would recommend and definitely will return. The crab souffle was to die for! – Laney, dined on July 17, 2014
Although we’ve been dining at Le Rendez-vous for years, it continues to be unparalleled in food and service. – IronMike, dined on July 12, 2014
The food was excellent, the ambience was tres romantique! – DateNightMom, dined on July 12, 2014
The restaurant was easy to locate. The staff was very attentive, although a bit presumptive to place the appropriate fork on the salad plate. Delicious wine selections, both white and red. Nice to have the small plates to try foods for the first time. Absolutely heavenly desserts. I would definitely dine here again. My father-in-law LOVED it. It was his first opportunity to have truly French cuisine in many years. – BikSwan56, dined on June 14, 2014
By far the best French restaurant in Tucson and maybe Phoenix. – Steak34, dined on June 27, 2014
We had an amazing dinner. The service was incredible. My mother really enjoyed speaking French to Tibault. The food was exquisite as well. We had a lovely time and would love to go back. – Lelette, June 29, 2014
Went there on a first date and the food was an amazing contribution to an already wonderful experience. Sharing small plates (5 of them) and dessert made for good companionship, conversation, and tantalizing tastes. – OpenTable Diner Since 2014, dined on June 21, 2014
Just got back from Paris. Felt like we never left. – Best4best, dined on June 18, 2014
